FRONTENAC LC11

Known to be a renowned mechanic, Louis Chevrolet made his debut as a racing cyclist and upon his arrival on the North American continent as a racing driver.

Before giving his name to the eponymous car brand in 1911, he won many competitions behind the wheel of various racing cars. Sportsmanship was undeniably part of Louis' personality, and this was reflected even more in his motto: "Never Give Up"..

The Frontenac LC11 collection was designed to transcribe these values and codes.

A LOOK IN THE MIRROR

Automotive world on the move

Linking a watch to a particular universe is not easy, but extremely motivating for our creative team. With the history of Louis Chevrolet as its heritage, the gateway to the sporting world and more specifically to the automotive world was a given for this Frontenac LC11 collection.

In order to discreetly assert this connection, we have integrated a "Honeycomb" pattern resembling the grille of a car into the dial and back of the models in this range. The grooved case as well as the judiciously colored hands, reminiscent of those of a speedometer, reinforce the sporty side of this collection.

Never Give Up

The concept of the luminescent flying date already present on the Frontenac LC9 collection has also been taken up in the design of these models. 360-degree date reading around the dial is now easier in dim light or at night.

Like a leitmotif, Louis Chevrolet's motto - "Never Give Up" - is also discreetly engraved on the case, between the lugs at 6 o'clock.

The Frontenac LC11 Collection

At the heart of manufacturing

Key pieces

Central component of this collection, the brass dial and its careful cutouts required special attention during production.

The proper functioning of the luminescent date and calendar indicator is based on a cutout of the "railroad", and a deposit of luminous material (© Superluminova) of high precision.

The detail makes the difference

The materials used to produce these watches no longer need to be proven: 316L stainless steel - with black PVD treatment on the red & khaki models -, anti-reflective sapphire crystal on two sides, colored nickel-plated hands, dial with expertly elaborated decoration and transferred, and in order to perfect the sporty look of the watch, a perforated leather strap reminiscent of the gloves of automobile pilots from the beginning of the last century or NATO-style nylon with colors reminiscent of the dial and hands.

The world of watch assembly

Qualified staff

Requiring specific assembly with prior transformation of the date calendar, this watch is assembled and fully checked in our workshops by our qualified watchmakers.

The Swiss-made movement is first modified to match the peculiarities of the collection, and only then comes the traditional assembly of the dial and hands.

Rigor and attention

Nothing being left to chance, the entire watch assembly and casing step is rigorously described in the collection's assembly range, which watchmakers follow closely.

As with all models, an aesthetic visual inspection and a technical inspection combining multiple criteria are carried out before the watch is authorized to leave the workshop for storage.
